YHOA Wins Neighborhood Landscaping Grant
The Williamsburg Mayor's Landscape Grant Committee has awarded the Yorkshire Homeowners Association a $2000.00
Neighborhood Landscape Grant. Thanks to our outstanding Landscaping Committee, including Mary Ann Dallas, Cherri
Spellmeyer, Jean Fox and Martha Jean Howell, who put together an excellent plan and presentation package to replace the
dying junipers at our entrance corners. In addition, Bartlett Tree Experts generously offered to remove a large tree
impeding the growth of three kusa dogwoods on the exit corner. This will ensure adequate light to the dogwoods and new
plantings and save a minimum of $500.00. Special thanks to Andrew Koenig of Bartlett Tree Experts for his generous
support.
Please come to our neighborhood picnic, September 19, 2015, to see the plan or to get details from a
member of the Landscape Committee. The project will be completed before Thanksgiving.
